Native Vote!

“In Wisconsin, Native American vote may have helped Biden top Trump in 2020 election” – Green Bay Press-Gazette, 11/6/2020

The Native American Caucus and many great organizations were providing leadership and doing important work to increase Native voter participation in 2020.

Tribal leaders, grassroots organizations, and Native Vote – a project of Wisconsin Conservation Voices, had excellent organizing efforts underway that needed “air cover.” Our role at SNS was to provide that “air cover” and help increase Native voter participation (non-partisan) through cutting-edge digital/social advertising and more traditional terrestrial radio efforts.

Our efforts during the primary featured Congresswoman Sharice Davids and focused on urging Native voters to request and fill out their absentee ballots.

In the General Election, our non-partisan efforts focused on a series of GOTV messages designed to amplify familiar faces. We worked with the highly talented, Erin Bloodgood, for the photography.

We knew our message and messengers needed to be authentic.

“In Arizona and Wisconsin, Native turnout made the difference in Biden’s slim but winning margin.” – High Country News, 11/6/2020

Native News Online reported, “voting data from five Wisconsin tribal communities showed… tribal citizens living there of voting age constitute 71,463 potential voters. In this election, some 79 percent voted in the aforementioned five tribes.”

We were very proud to have a played a role in these critical efforts.
