We were proud to help our client and friend, Al Lawson, win his campaign for congress in the hotly contested Democratic primary against a 24-year incumbent.
While there were many dynamics at play in the campaign, one of the critical things we needed to do was to tell Al’s remarkable story in a way that grabbed voters’ attention and connected with them in a memorable way.
We tied Al’s biography with issues that polling told us were most important to voters: hard work, education, and a small business job creator.
Al won the Primary by 7,000 votes and went on to win the General Election by more than 30 points. With his congeniality, gentle demeanor and hard-rock resolve, Al is a great Congressman.
