The team at Strother Nuckels Strategies is led by partners Dane Strother and Ben Nuckels. We’re an innovative communications firm that specializes in winning the toughest campaigns for Democratic political candidates, issue organizations, ballot initiatives, and corporations. We have offices in Washington, D.C., Sacramento, and Wisconsin.

In 2018, SNS was the media consulting firm for Tony Evers for Governor. The Washington Post declared the victory as, “…potentially the greatest Democratic victory of the midterms.”

Dane Strother has sweat election day his entire life. As one of a handful of second generation national political consultants he has spent decades watching campaigns evolve and change. He has both learned a lot and taught a lot about employing cutting edge tactics to win. The New York Post labeled Dane  a “legendary Democratic strategist.” TIME Magazine reported on Strother’s work as “…not your typical political ads.”   The Wall Street Journal credits him with making health care reform a key issue. Today Dane splits his time between Sacramento and Washington, D.C. while getting to his favorite place in Montana whenever possible where he fly fishes, cooks and drinks red wine.

Ben Nuckels

Ben Nuckels is a veteran of campaigns at every level. He brings extensive experience in ad making, political strategy, and voter targeting.  AdWeek described Nuckels’ work as, “emotional” and “tugs at the heartstrings.” ABC News labeled his work as “most memorable” while other news outlets labeled his work as “smoothly produced,” and “dominating national headlines.” In 2018, Nuckels was the media consultant for Tony Evers’ stunning victory over Scott Walker. The Washington Post said the win was, “potentially the greatest Democratic victory of the midterms.” Nuckels has also recently led successful efforts for Airbnb, Uber, and IE efforts to re-elect Jon Tester to the Senate.
